I have been reading up on a few threads about breaking in the 3.3. I see some people are having problems with their break in, is this a common problem? When I get mine out of the box, will I be able to run with it, or do I have to take it easy for a while? Thanks in advance.

FOLLOW THE FINE DIRECTIONS INCLUDED..

Watch the DVD.

Dont be in a hurry.

Break in is the most important time for the engine......if you do it right it will reward you for a long time. If you skip steps it will punish you later.

READ THE DIRECTIONS..........:hammer:

Morpheus,

From what I have read, most of the issues associated with break-in problems are from less than ideal conditions "outside"..LOL. The colder the temps, the tougher it seems to be. Some things may need to be added to your break-in procedure if temps are less than say 45 degrees. I am not sure what kind of weather you have in Tx but if it is warm enough, you should not have a bunch of issues with the break in...I have noticed that if you really want to break in in cold weather, there are tips on this board as well as the owner's manual on steps you can take....For example, wrapping the cooling head with a sock or foil....if it runs too hot....then peel a few layers back to expose a few ridges on the "cooling head..." I am in the process of waiting for warmer weather myself....Best of luck with your new rc........

Ok, sounds good then! I am more than willing to be patient and follow the directions it comes with, I just didn't want some long, drug out operation that's going to take a degree to break in. I do not have ANY experience with the Nitro models, so I wanted to make sure the break in was within my normal capabilities. Thanks.
