Hi Guys,

As far as 2wd ST's, i beleive the xxxnt (AD) or rc10gt Factory is the way to go with a Mugen 12 balckhead or nova rossi 12.

But what about 4wd - there appears to be kyosho tr15 or HPI Nitro racer MT. Is that all the choice is, and what motors for the 4wd's

My questions are these:
1. Do the 2wd's have problems handling, do they donut out of control at the first available opportunity, or can they go straight. How well do they corner.
2. Would a 4wd ST beat a 2wd if it had the same motor.

i want to know which handles better on a track

i fyou want a challeng go 2wd ,but for easy racing go 4wd.I'm in to 2wd because it more realistic and i love rear wheel drive, so i just bought the xt-r3e and its SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!but question 2,yes let say you hade the same exact car but one 2wd and ond 4wd,with same engine the 4wd can cut the corners faster because of the 4wd but again it dapends on the driver!:hehe:

I went w/ the rustler...she's one F@ST truck for a one speed. It does tend to donut sometimes but that's only when I'm at a good speed then turn at full throttle. People say the rustler has the worst handling of all. It might just be me and my hop-ups but I think it handles just fine. Not the best but good enough for me.

The Losi and Asscoiated truck will outhandle, absorb jumps/bumps better then the two you had listed.

It all depends on where you are running it. If you run it where there are big rocks and sand or other terrains the get a 4wd truck. I would reccomend a hpi mt. The 2wd stadium truck are for the track or basball felds. They can go in ruff areas but they dont get the trackion of a 4wd. The stadium truck will baet a 4wd in a race and have a higher top speed because it has less weight to spin.

I found that a 4wd or 2wd STADIUM truck on rough terrain doesn't have a traction problem as much as it does a suspension problem. But of course, the 4wd has 2 more nuts trying to hold on for dear life!

IMO 2 wheel drive is just plain out more fun. It's fun as hell sliding it around when you want to! Traction is all about suspension set up and throttle control- power ratio. Set your truck up right and learn how to drive and you'll kick any 4wd's butt with a driver who is just OK. With the 4wd OBVIOUSLY you'd have better traction therefore accellerate better because of more traction, but a 2wd with power will force you to learn how to be a better driver PERIOD. 2WD ALL THE WAY!!!!!!:hammer:

4wd tends to sap too much power from the engine. Two wheel is much faster and quicker on pulloff. Just lock the back diff.

Yer, i see that there are alot of differences bw 2 and 4wd

Just wanted to see what ur thought were. i think you've answered my questions. Thanks

Seems like i might have to acquire a 2wd to learn the subleties of the power ratios.

Cheers

2wd is awesome ... I'm getting a rustler soon because i just want to have "massive power in the rear" (ya know , the power of the engine and the rear of the truck ... sickos)

good choice supernitro! I have a rustler. but someone took the EZ-start off and upgraded the engine to a Nova Rossi MT 12. it's sweet! and it's true (the "power in the rear") it zips with extreme acceleration! and over 50 mph! one of the fastest stadium trucks out there.

:wedgie: You sicko power in the rear wheel drive boys - have a convincing arguement.

LOL ::hump:

Thanks:D

convincing argument? actually having power in the rear wheels is important uknow :argue: :alarm:
