Hey guys i no you all have great opinions and lots of experience So il ask you instead . Blew my front diff out yesterday 3rd one so far on the front and I'm getting really p****d off about changing them . Wile I've got the diff out gunna try just the 2wd how do i go about doing it considering the brake sits on the front driveshaft ? Cheers .

if you take off the front driveshaft but leave the brake yoke connected to the output shaft and the brake you should be able to use ur maxx in 2wd and still have brakes

How the hell did people cope without 4wd that is mental can get some nice drifts going tho and some super long Wheelie's

2wd is fun, what u talking about, LOL

thats why I got both the t-maxx and the s-maxx, two different driving machines!

yeah either tmaxx feel all f#*#ed up compared to the 4wd working.. the 3.3 tmaxx is alittle worse then the classic considering the 3.3 version sits up alittle bit higher... How is the smaxx???? i was wondering that the otherday does it actually handle like a tmaxx that lost the front driveshaft or is it set up to handle alittle better then that????

The s-maxx seems to handle a lil different then the tmaxx, I mean you got rear wheel drive vs 4x4. Its fun though, do-nut machine and wheelie rider!

heyJacknifejuv what have you been using for your driveshfts????? And on the classic you can't really take off the front driveshaft and leave the brake, c=because of the way its setup.

Its back 4wd now but took the front mid axle off heated it up in hot water and disconnected it from the ball joint . And the names Ash btw Jacknifejuv is just a username lol .

I have an S Maxx. I have been running in 2wd for about 6 months now. I just purchased and installed the 4 wheel drive kit. It was like 40 bucks new. Came with everything needed. It has lost a little power but its great in 4x4 mode over 2wd. This thing climbs and cuts through snow with ease.

yeah thats probly from the extra friction in the new drive assembly and alittle weight... try to tune it alittle you might/should get some of it back..

Ya gotta bend the plastic over the silver pivot ball thing.

Ugh... Il try it. Thanks for the help! Are the silver pins in the drive shaft part of the silver ball thing?

yes, there a part of the ball. they dont move, ya gotta pry the plastic off.

I've got a 2.5 and 3.3 S-maxx, they are fun toys!

I've also got four 3.3 t-maxx's, they too are fun toys!
