I want less top end but higher torque before i get my new engine
i have an ntc3 with 2spd running the stock ae mill

how do i find out which spur and pinion gears to get?

i'm guessing i should change both spurs and both pinions to get what i want. but is there something that i should be looking for? like a correct ratio between the 1st and 2nd sets?

i want to start by trying the lowest spur/pinion combo they offer for first gear.

is it possible with a 2 speed to have a high acceleration w/ a high top end????

I have been trying to figure out this gear ration thing too, so i am going to keep up on this thread too!

What is lets say a good medium gearing for local racing, jumping from long to short tracks without having to change the gear ratio?

I have done searches on this and could not fine a real clear answer!

Just run a 20/26 clutch bell with a 54/48 spur gear.See how that works for you.I run a Sirio with 21/27 and 54/48 and it is too fast.

Thank you Mark. I will try that. I just purchase the Sirio Evo 2 and can not wait to get it in!

No problem.I'm running an older 5 port AAC Sirio and it's awesome.I too just got an EVO 2 but I haven't run it yet.As a matter of fact I'm selling my NTC3 w/ Sirio.

Check http://rc10.com you will find all of the gearing that AE has and if I remeber correctly you will find a ratio chart. If nothing else call AE tech support those guys are great and very helpful
