I think 2pacs death made gangbanging commercial. Thats when people actually started to notice the gang banging scene. And to be honest with you, I personally think that that was a big downfall and was the death of gang banging. Granted there are still gangbangers today, but not like the early 90's. Around here (Even in Minnesota) we couldnt wear Raiders clothes, Sharks clothes, Kings cloths, etc. without getting flack from some banger. Gangbanging has been around since the 70's so i kinda doubt that 2pac brought them out of the woodwood. Its people like 50 cent who are total fakers that do more distruction than good. 2pac wasn't bragging about the poop he may have done in the past, but was telling a story how times were in his life. 50 cent and his wankster unit are just story book images that were created for $$, so when kids see this, they see they themselves can create this image and play it off as cool.
Everything I've learned about gangs and gang life stuff I learned in school. I got in to some trouble as a kid and was court ordered to go to this school. Kinda a step before Juvey. Anyway it was filled with gangbangers and thugs, and then there was me. lol.. The white kid from the country who stole some hubcaps from the wrong person. So I got to see alot of stuff I wouldnt have normally saw in my regular school. I always found it pretty interesting. (Was always to smart to get tangled in that crap myself). I've also read alot of books and stuff on it as well. Lifestyles different then my own have always fascinated me. Probably since I do live in minnesota and have lived in a town with 3000 people in it (2900 are farmers).
Anyone who has half a brain in there head knows that its just entertainment. If they can't figure that out, than ANY music would influence them, and there just stupid people in general..lol.
