I keep hearing and saw twice that the .26 jl red dot is discontinued! Anyone have a confirmation on this, I see some on ebay tonight waaay overpriced

Yep hotrod from what I have researched the Red dot is a disco item. And all listed on ebay lately are way overpriced! I was never that impressed with the red dot myself. My buddy had a lot of front bearing issue's with his. He upgraded to the new .28 ofna maxx and it is a much better engine.

Ya I wasn't sure man, I wonder if picco may disco the .26 all together since from what I hear the new .21 is the flagship!.....I've always liked the force engines, for a budget mill they are great, and I've never had any issues with one, that new .28 is a jl mod if I'm not mistaken

Yep the .28 is a jl mod engine. And the Picco .21 engines are screamers dude. They are not torque monsters but man if you want speed the .21 is the way to go. My .21 will smoke my buddies .26 red dot in top out speed! My friend finally upgraded his front bearing to ceramic of some kind not sure, seemed to fix his issues. Think he also fought some carb problems until I hooked him up with a BB pipe adapter and my JP 1 pipe.

How comparible to a .21 tm os is that picco .21? My os finaly bit the dust, was thinkin about that force .28 max since id be saving 80$ or more compared to another os

I have never owned or seen a OS .21 in action. I have seen the OS .18 tm in action though and they are screamers. Neighbor has the os .18 tm on his revo and it's def fast. Guess for the money the picco is a little more than $220.00 on epig. May find it cheaper some where else not sure. The Os engines are prob around the same price I am guessing. I like the Picco engines they seem to last me forever man. I don't have much experience with the OS engine's. When my old Picco .21 dies I will be buying the new .21 for my basher rig though. They are crazy easy to tune and hold that tune great. I am running the Picco .21 on my old 2.5 revo and it lifts the front end up in second gear with ease. If your wanting to save some cash I would go with the Ofna .28 they have some serious torque. Most of the guys at the local running them have never leaned them much past break in to make the power.

Thats like an os bro and the carb is metal, not composite, I'm not a fan of composite carbs, that os .21tm is a little screamer dude, I lost track of the amount of fuel put ran through it

Yah I've always wanted to try an OS engine just never have. I really like my Picco though. Either way I don't think anyone could go wrong with engine choice with the PIcco or the OS. I tell yah I have been pretty Impressed with my bro's Dynamite .19 to for a cheap engine it performs well. I am purchasing one as a back for this summer.

I'm gunna get one a those dyna .19 for next years winter engine, on my last trx engine now for this winter, lol.....the only experiance I have with picco is the .26,...ran a local guys max with that dyna .19 and was impressed, imo a better mill than trx 3.3

I have just about every different engine in one of my trucks at one stage or another apart from the dynamite and the new picco .21.
from my experience the 21tm is overpriced and I was a little dissapointed with the performance I have the .28 in a 2.5 revo and by far its the easiest engine to tune a the torque is great, the only truck of mine I would like to line it up against is my maxx with a 523 in it just need a quality drive to pilot the other truck

and the .26 is a royal pain even with ceramic bearings the pos still leaks

Ya know, those piccos are pure hotrods and as with any hotrod engine that is what they are, the more hotrod you make the more tempermental they get,.....take a small block chevy for instance, as a basic carborated v8 it runs great, idles perfect ect but toss in a hot cam, a tunnel ram and a couple 650's and she turns into a torque monster that runs like poop at a normal idle and tempermental..........the os is somewhere in the middle imo

I have put about 10 tanks into the 28 I'm hoping that it being based on a force it will be uber reliable

I bet it will be man and I have high hopes for it buddy, keep me posted on your thoughts about it.

Long weekend this weekend so shes gonna go out head to head with the .26 powered revo and my embe so I will have a definite opinion after that

Hope so I have it still fairly close to break in settings I'm letting my neighbor use the e maxx to run a comparison .my maxx will chase down the e maxx and keep up on 4s so we will see

the .28 is a beast!!
makes the .26 look slow haha .igot about 8 tanks it her today before my solar servo took a crap so I had no steering but wow who needs a bb.
I lined it against the neighbours 2.5 maxx and made him skip the poor thing looked like it was not even moving now hes saving for one lol.
and the Chinese exhaust can't be beat best $28 I have spent and talk about loud!
