when refering to radio gear, what is the diffrence between an fm 27mgh and an fm 75mgh.. i know that one say's 25 and the other say's 75..lol.. but what is the REAL diffrence

I believe you mean mhz. It is short for Mega Hertz and refers to how many cycles per second the radio broadcasts, picture the radio frequency like you would see in a textbook, the higher the frequency the more peaks and valleys in the wave. For you and I it doesn't make a whole lot of difference but some countries don't allow certain frequencies like australia for instance doesn't allow personal use of the 27mhz freq.

the higher the mhz the less interference you see. you can see it with any radio but the 75mhz is more secure. the channels are narrower so you are less likely to get interference

it also has more available channels on the FM models so if your racing then its a good choice to cut down on duplicate channels being used.

Hey coach Z. Australia does use 27mhz, its 75mhz we're not allowed to use, something about causing planes to crash or something stupid like that.
I just bought a Losi Mega Baja from over in the good ol US of A and had to change the frequency out. I was a bit pissed at that.
Didnt matter but, cause being a 'lefty' I had to change to 2.4ghz anyway for my DX3R.
But thanks for telling me the way it works, I was wondering that myself!

Ah bugger, I knew I'd foul something up if I tried to sound smart!!! :surrender Isn't that band designated as emergency use only in oz?

That is correct coach. Apparently it is the emergency frequency. See you did know, you just typed the numbers back to front. RIGHT?
