24.7 Conversion And Engine Questions

CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL ME IF YOU HAVE TO CUT THE SHAFT ON THE 24.7 I HAVE THE CONVERSION KIT ON MY TMAXX ALLREADY IT IS THE XTM KIT.

yup, i have the same exact thing. i had to cut mine down a bit. just take a dremel and cut just a little bit off at a time. just make sure that u dont go too far or it will mess the whole thing up.

yup. for sure you have to cut the crank. i'm too chicken and clumsy to do it myself so i had my local hobby shop take care of it for me.

cutting the crank sounds painful.... is this a requirement with any kit or just this XTM one?

i dont know if it is on just the xtm. i think it just depends on what kind of crankshaft is on the engine. the XTM 24.7 has the long one on it so it has to be cut down a hair.
