Hey. I was going to buy a set of wheels and tires but then I came across the 23mm wheels. They worth the money?? What are the pros and cons of them? Thanks

I don't think there are any cons... the pros are obvious! Durability and killer looks!

Pros:
stronger hubs...more even distribution of force to the center of the wheel......harder to strip out a hub....
Cons:
If you're a gram watching freak I think they add 15 grams or something to your truck.....that could cost you .00000001 of a second man...you sure you want to do that????

Oh jeez! .00000001 second!!! Wow, that could lose you a race.. could even put you in last place!!!! They will make your truck so slow!!! Dont do it!!!!! j/k

Another con; All your current wheel/tire combinations become obsolete.

Mr T

are you gunna use them for bashing or racing. just curious, get them and update us. i like the cheyanne rims.

Cons are:
- 23mm outer nuts that come loose, if you don't loc-tite them EVERY time you take them off and put them back on.

- Snapping the axle pins that go into the hexes

- Having to buy only Pro-Line wheels that fit the 23mm hexes and hoping they've fixed their 40-series wheel breaking problems

- Unneccesary rotating mass

- Unnecessary expense

how can they make your hubs stronger? you're still relying on the original axle to support them, bit of a farce i reckon. i can understand the wheels being stronger, but are they the weakest part of your truck?

The bigger hubs are nice if you are using a bigblock engine, but with the 2.5 IMO a waste of $$$. The only wheels I have herd of the 14 mm hubs breaking are on the velocity wheels but only when a huge amount of force is applied but I have never broken my velocity wheels with 14 mm hubs. they were still in great con after my repeated jumps off the roof
