it can be done - but i wouldnt recommend it. Here is a link to a post about doing the same in an NTC3. The cars are simlilar - so the info should be compatible

it only works with the belt models not the new shaft driven models.
Seems to be the part you need since you have the belt driven version.

I did the conversion with a Racer2 and an XTM 24.7. You need the conversion kit form wolfpack, a manifold and a short 1/8th scale pipe (I used a CVEC). I would recommend upgrading the brakes to the RRP aluminum kit, getting aluminum pulleys and belt tensioners all around. The extra power will tear your car up if you don't.
