When you go to score the liquid mask, make sure you dont push down too hard. When you slob it on, make sure its thick. Then over slob onto an outside edge. This way, before you cut away on the body, you have an area to test and make sure its dry enough and hone in on how deep you really need to cut before you pull it up.

Thicker is better for the liquid mask.

24 hours is about how long I let it set. Any longer and it will begin to leave a perm. haze on the body.

When cutting on the liquid mask with your exacto blade, hold the handle near the end & let the blade track itself. Just go easy, and it will cut straight. If you hold it near the blade, you'll find it really tough to track straight... I usually do a mark up on the protective film with a black sharpie, to give myself a nice cutting line to follow... Like Christian said, the thicker, the better when working with Liquid mask... Good luck

Forgot that point ImBroken!

Not to mention, if you can find a 360 degree exacto, pick it up. It works VERY well. You wont have to lift up the blade at all.

Woulda been nice to have one of those guys. OH well I have one body sprayed and I should have it all trimmed up tonight late before I get to bed. I will try to post pics. I will have the Audi done. The truck is going to take a little bit of time.

I allready own the El Camino body, in fact I'm just painting it, I'll like to have both of them, allthough they don't see very durable

I want one like that but only a 67 Chevelle to match the 1:1 I got in the garage. :bandit:

I have this body painted already, but I need to apply the stickers and the rear fin:

Its done in the EXACT same colors with some of the areas painted black instead of using the stickers. [/B]

Not bad for $7K and 2 1/2 yrs of my life lots of blood sweat and tears. Now I am going for smaller cars less expensive

BONER MATERIAL!

That looks a hell of a lot like the one I went and looked at last year. The guy wanted a hair over 30k for it. But it was MINT!
