RC Driving Style
I've always admired Michael Salven as one of the best drivers in RC History. He and Barry Baker are just masters with speed & control.

However I do not like his attitude when things don't go his way. Read the following article.

http://www.mytsn.com/publ/publ.asp?pid=9631

..."Josh Cryul crashed into me, i don't like his driving style"
..."My pitman soaked my receiver with fuel"
..."I lost a piece of luggage with spare parts, tools & engines the day before the event"

It seems to me that either Salven is still under the learning curve with his 710, he's getting old for this (42), or Mugen has better drivers and cars.

I find it hard to believe that these racers, who get engines designed to their specifications and driving style, have the best pitmen, and have virtually every possible desired sponsor would commit these "newbie" errors.

I read that articule too and I agree with you. What an example of poor sportmanship, he was making excuses for his poor performance.I don't believe that mugen or any other top level car has a mechanical advantage over any other car they have all just about reached parity on that issue, it is driver skill, preparation and luck that determines the winner. On any given day any of these top level driver's or cars could win.

I was at the race and on the track with those Mugens and I do think they had the handeling and the horses. I drive a 710 and am extremely loyal to Serpent, but the Mugen cars just looked much easier to drive. As for my results, I qualified 17th, but had motor problems in the main and ended up 5th in the C
