I had a buddy of mine told me that the 30% nitro will would make my engine run better ... lhs told me it would make it run to hot......I'm not sure but if it's more oil content it would seem that it would run cooler,,mabey I'm wrong ,,,,,please help

Well that question is well older than the hills (techinally) Some people say that running a higher nitro content will make your engine run cooler some people say no. Personally I haven tried, but I've always ran 20% no problems yet so I would say like O'donnell 20% (thats what my friend is using in his) Iam running 20% blue thunder in my maxx. If you want performance go with a higher contend of nitro (if you can find it) but O'donnell will give you lots more performance with 20% (its specially formulated somehow) and it smells like gunpowder.

Choose a brand of RC Car fuel that you can easily get.
For a beginner get any good name brand 20%. You can use a 30% fuel if you would like. If your tuning skills are good a 30% will make it run cooler. 30% fuel is usually a race formula and is much less forgiving.

Do a search on this site and you will find a huge amount of info on this subject.

I heard that the "%" (20% or 30%) is the % of nitro, and that the higher the nuber gives better performance if you can tune it good, but in turn you lessen the life of the engine.

I would ask HPI about this... I've used a OFNA Force 25 which is basically the S-25 motor... 20% is good enough and you can tune it to run @ 260 degrees MAX...

The other thing to think about is 20% offers a higher oil content than 30%. Thus making engine life a little shorter than normal.
