I read the thread on this all ready but on my Savage 25 I can't really hear or just can't tell if it is changing or not Is it some thing you can hear good or is it hard to tell or hear ?

You should hear it hit second gear... It will sound like a "WAAAAAAA-WWWWAAAAAAAAAAAA" kind of noise. it'll literally dip for a millisecond, just like a shift on a real car.

Ok so I need to play with the setting is there a way to set it with out trying to play with it like so many turns in and then back out a few ?

i hear mine change just dont hear the 3 gear change it goes to 3nd gear aND thats it

Ok Thank You I will try to figure it out tomorrow and see what I come up with Thank You again..

I pick this truck up so I am new to this type my old car was the rc10gt big differnce lol

I've no idea on the factory setting for the 2 speed; I've emailed HPI and not gotten a response yet. I'll probably end up buying a new 2 speed clutch, and counting the turns on it, lol.

About the closest I've came to getting an answer is between 3 and 4.5 turns from the screw 'stopping, but not over tight'. Too tight, and you can damage the little spring that allows it to shift into second.

are you driving it on the pavement? I know my maxx had a hard time hitting second in 3" grass. I would put it on the road and it grabbed second real quick.

Well I did some adjusting today and the Savage is shifting good now. I turned it all the way in and then back out 3 turns and then ran it kinda shifted a little to soon then adjusted it again and she is running like a mutha. some peole say the Savage 25's dont wheelie this one does not all the time but if you get it in the right mood it will stand right up.. Now its time to do a few mod's and get her going even faster. Thank You guys for all ur help...

Yes you was. I looked all over online and couldnt find any help on that untill I got on here and asked.. Thank You again

No problem - somethin like this ought to be made a sticky, or something, since the HPI manuals lack that setting.
