2.5r Carb problems

Hey I have a t maxx 2.5r and the high speed needle stripped out on the carb and now I can't get a good seal on the carb. I dont have the money to get the parts now. I'm eventualy gettin a .26 picco jl red dot but for now the 2.5r is my getaway. Is there anyway I can just wing it an get it to seal.

Depends how bad its stripped, you can try wraping the threads in teflon tape. Or if its good and messed up......use silicone sealant. Cover the sides of the needle with it...... stick it in....... TUNE THE ENGINE...... and let it dry.

that won't work... you mean you dont have $12 for a carb body?

This problem needs to be fixed correctly. An air leak can and will lead to premature wear and failure of the piston and sleeve. Wait until you can afford the new carb body before running your truck if you want to avoid risking more damage.

ya i no i hav 2 extra motors i jus can't afford the carb now i got kids to feed ya no I'm jus lookin for a quick fix
