2.5 trans problem

was out running my maxx today, and it would not shift into high gear? it would only stay in first? i have the black trans, with the foc conversion. i have never tore one down, my question is: A. is this a shift point problem? as it was shifting fine two days ago. B. is my high gear gone? i don't hear anything making noise in the trans, (i like the power response with the one gear only LOL!) but it revs high! is it time for a rebuild?

This happens to my friends t maxx all the time, he has the 3.3 grey tranny. but i would adjust the shift screw on it maybe have it shift earlier than it is right now and see if it changes.. what I'm thinking is maybe the clutch inside the tranny that has arms in it arent popping out and grabbing the the second gear.

*EDIT* also if you do not hear any thing grinding or anything being tossed around in there the gears are fine. When my t maxx's tranny went out it it made the nastiest disturbing grinding sound ever and just wouldnt move forward so i do not believe your tranny is bad but i do believe the clutch in there is possibly not opening.

If you do end up wanting to rebuild these guys should be able to have some bullet proof tranny gears http://www.robinsonracing.com/catalog/tmaxx25.html never have owned anything from them so i do not have experience but i would trust them.

have you tride tuning?? sometimes when mine doesn't shift into secound I just need to mess with the tune slightly cause of weather-humidity-etc.. I have it happen to my classic with the back tranny that I have a 3.3 in, if it isnt tuned right it wont hit 2nd, and if thats not it thatn it might be what TRXadict said, or have you regrease any of your older parts that use grease or oil??? create to much friction..
