Swapping out the old 2.5 for a 3.3, looking to know how much of a difference in the two there is, will the 3.3 fit into my t-maxx classic? What parts are interchangeable between the two being exhaust, clutch, clutch bell, engine mount? Can i use the electric start from my 2.5 on the 3.3? Is the 20% fuel good for the 3.3? How much of a difference is there when it comes to adjusting and breaking in the 3.3 compared to the 2.5?? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated, getting the 3.3 sometime this month, and will break it in once it warms up where i still have a 2.5R ready to go, tried to get the hobby shop to take all my engines for a big block haha, but was a no go, so, upgrading from 2.5 to 3.3, what am i looking at? Not much difference, or a lot of difference??? Excited to go fast :) :first_place:

The 3.3 is a drop in replacement for the 2.5r motor. All of the accessories of the old 2.5r engine will bolt on the 3.3. I'm not sure about the older 2.5 motor, though.

! Yeah i was thinking it would be fine, but wanted to make sure before i travel to get it, i don't make trips to the hobby shop often so have to get what i need when I'm there kinda thing don't want to get the engine and later need something, thanks for the info though, I'm sure i will pick up some extra's just to be sure it is ready to go when i get home..:)

you should have no problem with putting in the 3.3. everything can be switched from the 2.5/2.5r to the 3.3.

I feel like this is one of the most frequently asked questions on this forum! :hehe: I too once remember asking this same question and also answering 10 of the same! :D
