Two questions- Is there any difference in the chassis between the 2.5 and 2.5r? Would the 2.5 chassis and driveline be able to handle the 3.3? Thanks

Idk bout diff between 2.5 and 2.5r..... doubt there is anything. Till 3.3 ofcoarse.

Yeah I ran a 3.3 fine on my old 2.5 chassis with 2.5 parts. If anything, check out ebay, you can get 4908 axles for $15. Foward only for $12 is a good investment for overall performance on drivetrain.

the 2.5r parts are a little weaker than the whole 3.3 layout. You'll get some run time, but after a while, you will be chasing parts. Diffs, tranny. Stuff like that. I was gonna go with the 3.3 but there were other upgrades I needed. So I stuck with the 2.5r. Everyone has there own opinion, but you will see yourself upgrading after time.
