2.5 revo

Will the 2.5 revo hold the power of the serio.23? I have one on a maxx collecting dust,.23 eats the poop out of the entire driveline,right now it wont shift to second,I know what it is but I also know as soon as I fix it,it will be somthing else. The 2.5 revo has a OS 18tm in it,with a centerdiff/FOC,rest is stock. The .23 eats mip cvds on the maxx,heard the revo sliders were pretty stout?Anyone run this setup on a revo 2.5?

I have heard tell it drops right in.....I am running The RB concepts 523 in my racer, and the stock driveline holds up fine.......you may need Robinson racing spur gear and clutch bell however as the stock spurs will get eaten up by that beast...

I tried the Robinson Racing spur and clutchbell on my Picco .26 max and it wouldn't fit! the Spur gear is so large that when I tried to install the engine that it locked up the clutch and engine.

I have the rrp bell and spur on my maxx.along with no telling how much more rrp poop.they did the best they could with what they had to start with! Glad to see the revo doesn't have the same ol problems as the maxx when it comes to adding some real power.

I tried the Robinson Racing spur and clutchbell on my Picco .26 max and it wouldn't fit! the Spur gear is so large that when I tried to install the engine that it locked up the clutch and engine.

Try shimming the tranny.......I use the shims they give you with 23mm hexes....they work great....gives you the mesh you need for clean power...

Same Sirio 23 I sold ya? wow memories. The 2.5R will not stand a chance to that mill. If you drop the Sirio in the Revo, I am sure you will be smiling from ear to ear. I really would stay away from RRP stuff like that. IMO a stock set up with the correct mesh set will never bust from the power of the engine.

Although in theory I agree with you, in practice I have toasted perfectly meshed stock gears with my old Picco .26.........and I really like the confidence the metal gearing gives you......very difficult to strip one out in the middle of a race or great bash session.

Yep,same one.You put a quart threw it and I have only been able to get about a gallon threw it,I took out a redhead Fantom fr.18 with fantom pipe to the sirio.23 mill and sirio pipe. I didnt know what I was in for,way way to much power for a maxx,both in durability and stability.And I have this thing loooaaaaddddeeeedddd with aluminum/steel.I'm thinking of swaping the os.18tm from the revo to the maxx,and the sirio to the revo?

BTW,you wouldnt happen to have the turbo button for it would ya? (shot in the dark)
