having a hard time getting my 2.5 to run right,
just fitted a new engine, went through the break in period, 5 tanks later its broke in and runs fine, still on factory carb settings, want to tune it now but intermitantly it will loose all power, when its on the ground it will move, but very slowly, lift it up it revs and shifts fine, but not on the floor, can somtime run for 10 mins, others 3 mins before it does this

any ideas

Tighten your slipper clutch and see what that does

You said it cwal. Classic signs of a loose slipper nut and spring. Since you are digging around in there anyway you might want to check the slipper pad to see what condition it's in.

does not seem like the clutch, it just goes gutless, hardly revs etc

Okay, even after 5 tanks of fuel you will still want to baby it for the next few tank... the engine is still pretty tight even after 5 tanks

You need to start adjusting the carb settings. leaning them out, richening them... read this http://goo.gl/Gce3 factory settings are a "base point" but due to your humidity, temperature, and altitude you will need to fine tune your truck... and keep a pocket screw driver when ever you run your rig, you'll be adjusting it from time to time....

There is draw on the engine when you have the car off the ground, everything can move alot free-er and easier, just requires alot less power to move the wheels and shift..... . That is why it appears to run smoothly when in the air... when you put it on the ground you have alot of drag, and requires a better tuned engine.

have tried tuning, it dont work when its lacking power

If tuning is ineffective, you could have an air leak somewhere. Though I believe your problem lies simply in the tune. It's very unlikely that you would be in an environment that factory needle settings would even be close. Tune and watch your temps.
