2.5 or 3.3?

I think i have worn out my 2.5. It doesn't have any power no matter how you tune it and has a horrible noise coming from the motor. So my question is should I upgrade to the 3.3 or just stick with my 2.5. I just use it for bashing, no racing at all and my biggest concerns with the 3.3 are how the drivetrain will hold up, (I have already tore out many differentials) and how much fuel it will use. I just do it for a hobby and dont want to have dump a ton of money in it to build it up. What do you think I should do?

go with the 2.5R. i have one in my pro.15 maxx and it smokes the regular 2.5 and it keeps up with my buddies 3.3 until its almost maxxed out, then the 3.3 pulls away. it does weelies on command and holds them also. since its a smaller engine its also better on gas than the 3.3.

if you decide to go with a 3.3 i have a 2 week old one just broke it in about 2 tanks threw it selling it for about 100 or best offer i'm going to college and putting the 2.5 back in and selling the T Maxx

I am pretty new to r/c but i bought a t-maxx 3.3, and man i love it. since i've never drove a 2.5 i don't know how they run but the t-maxx runs great, spending alot of time on the rear bumper. i'm on my 5th gallon of fuel now and it has been tuned one time and that was just because i thought it may run a little faster if i did. i really love nitro r/c and my maxx 3.3.
