2.5 gearbox guts into 3.3 gearbox

Anyone take the guts from their 2.5 trans and put em in new 3.3 trans casehalves in order to run the rear brake kit? Or is there a way to run a rear brake on my 2.5 box?

I just dont want to buy a whole new gearbox to run a rear brake when new style case halves run $8

Never tried it bud . But I'm sure someone will inform you . Why dont you all 4 brakes ? Had mine 2wd for a bit and couldn't brake for poop lol .

The 2.5 innards should fit into the new case with no problems. The only thing you need to make sure of is that install the center diff first.

You just need the new gearbox, everything will fit inside just fine.
