2.5 front wheel came off

Hey I am new to the hobby and just got my truck yesterday and I was breaking it in when the left front wheel flew off. Any one got a clue why this would happen also when I tried to put it back on the screw was to far in to put it back on I got it back out but I doesn't seem right that the screw was so far in like that. Any help would be great.

Wheel probably flew off because the wheel nut loosened. Always make sure the wheel nuts are tight before every run. Putting some blue loctite on the threads helps.

I have no clue what you are trying to say here.

I think he is trying to say that the screw the wheel is on is too short to fit the wheel back on. Like it got cut somehow

Yes like it was cut but I could pull it out to it's normal length is there something that holds it out or does the tire do that?

is the hex thing and the pin there or did they come off too?

Remove the tire/wheel from the other side and compare what's there to see if something is missing or broke.
