Hello guys! Anyone has mounted 2.2 tires on a trx4 or a 1/10 crawler?? I just received a set of
2.2 wheels and really like the idea of getting some 2.2 tires and making this a really monstrous crawler lol. I'm in the process of getting a cab only body for the truck and dont mind trimming the body heavily if need be. I'm not running any bumpers currently but if I do add some, would that be an issue?
Any other mods I'd have to do in order to make this work?

Thanks in advance!.

We actually have thought about it on my uncle's TRX-4...

The 2.2 will hit your body/fenders when you flex, so Traxxas suggested that we put a lift kit on.

I don't run bumpers either and I have so much more approach angle, and a bit more flex. lol my fenders are close to non-existent at this point. Just my shocks and whatever frame mounts that are important (I got the kit). I think I have 1.9? I haven't checked, but I'm pretty 2.2 are only stock in high trail.

Heres my TRX-4. Again... no bumpers and the body obviously was trimmed to fit and i had to do a ton of fender trimming and body mount cutting to make it fit. And it still has the sides bulging it. I'm fixing that tomorrow though. The tires on it are 1.9" swampers from a losi night crawler. I put the canyon trails back on it, those are the stock. I did screw up the body mounting, but it's not unsalvageable and I think I could conceal it with a fake turbo or a hood stack.

I should probably mention that I took my fenders a while back and dont really plan to put them back on.
