I hope it works out well for you! There are Traxxas Oval builds going here now.thanks certified Mike I went with the wl toys 104001 instead the Traxxas bandit
so far everyone that I have watched on YouTube use Traxxas bandit and slash but for the amount of time I'd get to use it I didn't see giving 200 plus for a car. lol the mount I used was for the x-ray but I had to reform it for it to work and the body could have been better but I've got the shakes bad from my 2nd stroke but it turned out ok.I hope it works out well for you! I haven't seen much on WL. yet.
Theres lots of time to buy more or different if you want them. I bought a DeeRC car to mess around with and 'see' how I felt about getting back into rc after time off.so far everyone that I have watched on YouTube use Traxxas bandit and slash but for the amount of time I'd get to use it I didn't see giving 200 plus for a car. lol the mount I used was for the x-ray but I had to reform it for it to work and the body could have been better but I've got the shakes bad from my 2nd stroke but it turned out ok.
I'll definitely be posting more when my numbers come in. they're being made. I'm thinking about turning it brushless but want to see how it does stock first.Theres lots of time to buy more or different if you want them. I was quickly pulled ALL the way back in!!!
I think your car came out great!
I hope we get to see more of it and whatever hop ups etc might be next.![]()
The brushless might be a good upgrade. Just be careful not to put in a giant motor thats too many kv's for it. I put a big motor in a DeeRC car and it blew up quickly.I'll definitely be posting more when my numbers come in. they're being made. I'm thinking about a 5900kv and I'll definitely check mine out it's supposed to have bearings already in it but I'll double check. The brushless might be a good upgrade. Just be careful not to put in a giant motor thats too many kv's for it. I put a big motor in a DeeRC car and it blew up quickly.
Brushless and lipo are great upgrades when done correctly though.
If you can replace ANY bushings with bearings, go ahead and do that asap too!
and that definitely sucks to spend the money for the upgrade just for it to burn upI'm thinking about a 5900kv and I'll definitely check mine out it's supposed to have bearings already in it but I'll double check.
What is the stock motor?I'm thinking about a 5900kv and I'll definitely check mine out it's supposed to have bearings already in it but I'll double check.
stock 550 brushedWhat is the stock motor?
You might have some bearings but not ALL bearings too.![]()
Thanks and I'll definitely post more when my numbers come in from being special made and I'm thinking about slapping brushless in but want to see how it acts stock first.Theres lots of time to buy more or different if you want them. 3800kv with a 22t pinion and I'm thinking of a 5900kv with a 19t pinionWhat kv is it?
You might want to play around with gearing too.
You will need to with a motor swap.![]()
