this is probally a long shot but does anyone know what the size for the speaker are in the doors. for the 1971 chevy cheyenne, thanks in advance.

Measuring tape???? open the door and measure, depth, and width, chance's are it's 5 inch's or less.

Jig saw, dremel, and a welder... you can put any size in there ya want with those three tools.

Uh,15" speakers won't fit in the door, them things would stick 10 or more inch's out,i don't even think they make speakers that big besides woofers.

My guess would be a 6 inch. My old 49' had 6 inchers and so did my dads 76', so thatd be my guess.

My '67 mustang I'm pretty sure has 4" kick panel speakers (wouldnt know, because my grandpa took all the speakers out years ago)...

alright thanks guys. i would measure it, but my truck is up in IL get rebuilt so i was trying to figure out. so i could go buy them.

is it a "c series" thats all i could find.. go to www.crutchfield.com and then go to "what fits my car" then follow directions.. didnt have a cheyene but had others..

they say there isnt any speakers in that location in the c or k series trucks..

there isnt i have an 83 k20 and there are no speakers in the door but the jig saw size speakers work great too bad I've blow both the left and the right and the center that i had in there

so i need to go spend 60 bucks for some good speakers

oh well

hope that helps you out

Top of the dash, in the kick panels, in the rear window area (i call it the rear dash), and in the doors are the only places i would see speakers in a car that old...

in my truck they are in the dash in the corners and in the center the center speaker is a 6x9 and the ones in the corners are about 4 in speakers i think

thats what they look like and they are hard as hell to get to

The speakers for this model truck should be in the dash, they came with two options. A single speaker, located in the center of the dash pad, or the dual speakers, one on each side of the dash. Your best bet for fiquiring out wha will fit is to follow beason's link, and to do your own cutting.

alright thanks. i thinking I'm just gonna build some 6x9 boxes behind the seat and put a 12 in the middle.

so far I've spent

2000 truck
300 aprostry (sp) no it aint right.lol
800 for paint and body work
500 for fix up
and probally about 400 for electronics
