I have a .12 CXP SH Taiwan engine, and I'm tying to find out the specifications of this engine.

I have been trawling the net for a few days and have yet to find anything.

I have since found out my car was built by two companies? one built it (Hispeed) but was then uprated by CXP??

Can anyone help me please.

Regards

Dave

Does it say vx on the logo on the side of the engine? Like vx-12? If so, yours is like mine. It's a pull-start, right? Mine says vx-18 on it and pushes my car to about 50mph. I don't know the bhp stats, but I'd guess it's like most other engines in this size category.

Does yours look like this: http://www.treasuretrovetoys.com.au/prod8.htm ?

It has SH stamped on the side, but still cannot trace specifications for this engine? LOL

What kind of car/buggy/etc. did it come in? If it has SH on it, I don't know what it is, but you said the link I gave you was the engine you had.

Heh, I should have looked a little more before I decided on my buggy. Yours looks way cooler, has better parts, and costs less... :\

To be honest, i never really researched properly.

I can only purchase spare parts from two suppliers in the uk. I would rather had chosed a car with readily available parts, but i have a few spares and it does shift well !! so makes up for it.

And with past experience with 1/10 electric cars i wanted something robust. I was fed up of snapping plastic knuckle arms, etc.

Here's SH's website. Can't find your exact engine at first glance, but surf it and you'll probably find it.

Thanks Candyman,

Had a look and they dont have any .18 engines, but I'm getting closer to finding now. Looks like the blue one with the pull start on the very first page of the SH link.

Thanks

Dave
