i would like to know if i can put a .21 in a hpi nitro mt

i want to change my motor for a bigger but i dont want to change 2 time

thank's for your opinion

0.21 will need MAJOR hopups to keep the drivetrain together.

0.18 will need less hopups and keep the drivetrain together longer.

oh yeah .... the 0.21 will need alot of mods to make it fit.

If you do it right, it wont take TOO many mods....

Look at www.wolfpackradicals.com . He makes mounts to not only install a .21 engine, but also be able to fit an SG crank engine into HPI rides. You might have to get his whole conversion kit to get things going but it's definitely do-able. BTW...keep diff gears handy and learn to shim and lube them correctly because you'll run into problems if you don't

neweramodels also makes a .21-.28 conversion kit. i might be getting this one in the summer if all goes well.

i dont see any conversion kit for the mt on neweramodels and wolfpackradicals

you talk of hopups but what i have to do to fit a .21

slipper clutch, headers, muffler, all gear heavy duty ......

WHAT!?!

That's a pic of the NMT with a .21 on it (along with a couple other things). Go to where it says "r3 .21 conversion". The nitro3 and the mt2 have the same engine/gearbox layout...just that the mt has longer drive shafts. The mounts will work and are well worth it since you can use them on more than one vehicle...
