So i have a ton of play in between my hub adaptors and stub axles. Now i was thinkin about goin with the tekno setup which looks awesome, but i am running the geode wheels and they wont fit on the hub. And the other thing is is that i dont think it would work with the tru trac either if i did buy 17mm hex wheels? Anyway i can make them tighter and or stronger withought loosing everything i have already. And i really like the tru-trac and dont want to get rid of that. I thought i remembered hearing about 2 sets of traxxas 17mm hubs, one was threaded and the other wasn't or something. Mine are original and it is the 5308. Any suggestions guys. I got a ton of play in those areas though and the carrier bearings are new!

With a couple mods you can make the adapters fit with no slop.
You need a 6mm drill bit and 4 5mm threaded bushings. I make my own bushings but an easy way is to use these

1st drill the hex completely through to 6mm. Remove the stub axle from the yoke and thread the brass insert on the end of the stub axle with some locktite. Chuck the stub axle in a drill press and reduce the diameter of the brass insert with a file even with the non threaded part of the stub axle shaft so it fits nice and snug in the hex.

The Tekno stubs and hexes will only work with the tekno carrier and stock slider shafts, so no, they will not work with the tru-track.

ok.i will certanly give it a shot. How long do u think it will take before i start gettin the slop back?

If you get a nice snug fit and the stub hasn’t already worn the inner part of the adaptor you can get a few gallons.
