I need a new starter for my Maxx and was thinking of getting an electric. What components do I need for the entire set up. I've seen the new ones with the starter the wire and then the battery pack are the older ones any differnt and will any of of the new starter parts work on the older ones. Thanks again Guys

The EZ Start for the .15s and the 2.5s are the same. The older ones have a different battery pack set up, but the set up for the engine is the same.
I'm not sure, but I think the one way bearing was slightly different.

yes the 2.5 has a different shape one-way-bearing. and i dont know what battery the 2.5 uses for starting power, but the .15 has a 7.2V long pack. and i dont think the 2.5 has the same connector as the .15.

They connect the same, the difference is the one way bearing and the shape of the ez-start is a little different to go around the rear exhaust on the 2.5

Thanks guys :) I was actully able to test on on my engine, I bought some aluminum bulkheads on ebay and the guy sent me the wrong package and it had an easy start for the 2.5 in it. It will work the one way is differnet but it works on my crank :). I was able to fix my pull start once again lol so I'm set for now. I just wish I could get my bulkheads lol the seller is all confused lmao!
