I purchased my t-max back in like 2001 and ran it for awhile but lost interest and it has been sitting for many years. now I want to upgrade it to pull start and a bigger motor maybe the 3.3 any recommendations on upgrades ?

thanks..David

I went through the same process. I bought a 3.3 extended chassis with braces and center driveshafts, 3.3 arms and driveshafts. Then, got a 3.3 and resonator pipe, 2055 servos, new receiver box, rebuilt shocks, then I was done.

Whats your budget? There are much better engines out there that are a direct replacement,

I'm thinking a couple hundred bucks, would the dynamite .19 work to do a drop in replacement ?

If you have a 1st gen. T Maxx the Dynamite .19 will fit but you'll have to convert your throttle linkage to a slide carb linkage.
This kit comes complete with a chassis plate template and drill bit to drill out the holes you need to mount the throttle bell crank. :mustache:

What he said,....theres a nice novarossi setup on the bay within your budget, also there the picco .21 for 200$ the picco is a little beast
