Hey Guys,
I bought a SC10 last year and raced it a few times and did very well but I'm looking to buy a new brushless system. I have been looking at the Tekin 13.5 Pro motor/ esc combo but dontknow much about them? does anyone have any info? or other suggestions for a brushless esc/ motor combo?
Thanks for any info

I've always been a Castle Creations guy personally, so thats what Id suggest. A mamba setup with 5600 motor on 3s will rip it up.

I'm using a 10.5t lrp eraser (sensored) which works a treat!
Once more its waterproof!

I have the Tekin RS Pro in my SC10 with an Orion 13.5 and it's awesome! Very driveable through the infield with tight turns, but with the boost I can run with 8.5s down the back straightaway all day. Start your gearing around 24/81. My motor comes off around 100 deg after 6 min. I'll give you my esc setup if you like, it's fast but not overkill enough to heat anything up.

Depending on the size of your track, you may want a 10.5. If you have multiple long straightaways the esc will run in turbo for longer periods of time and you can generate more heat. Either way I think Tekin is the way to go right now. I'm very happy with mine.

Thanks alot for the info...I'm hearing a lot of good things from the Tekin systems and a lot of people like them so thats why i was considering them. I'm looking at buying a system this week so ill let you know what i end up going with.

And thanks alot for the other info guys! i have had LRP systems before and loved them. But i was just thinking of trying the Tekin because nobody is using the system and id like to try something differnt. But thanks alot for the Info Guys!

I'm a big LRP fan too (I own 6 including the new SPX 8), but their current models do not offer the performance of the Tekin, though their SXX TC has more adjustability than previous models. For stock class racing, the Tekin is the best buy for the money. There is another company (I forget the name) that offers the same level of performance that Tekin does, but at a $400 pricetag... For mod class, I don't see any real advantage, especially in off-road. There is really only so much power that can be hooked up.
