which one is best? the .12 or the .15 for on road racing? the .12 is 1hp and the .15 is 1.2hp? I know the .12 is easy to tune and really reliable does the .15 live up to the .12? need info quick ordering today!!!
 
its the same exact engine...except the .15 is more powerful. if you just bash get the .15 because you can go faster, but if you race your gonna need to get the .12 because they are race legal. the .15's are not race legal unless its an open class.
 
:w00t: I ordered the .15 CV-RX along with alot of suspension goodies?! TC3's wont stand a chance!:w00t:
 
chris - its going in the hpi rs4 ss. jones - remember that u cannot race ROAR with that mill, but most club races dont care. I use the OS .15 CV-R in my ntc3
 
I've been racing club for over 2 years,and all them are fine with a .15 size engine,I dont really have a problem with the TC3,they are a great car probably even better than mine but HPI is what I can walk into the hobbyshop and get parts for,alot of the high polluten folk at the races do run the TC3 and think HPI isnt track worthy,I love going out there and running 2/3 more laps than them!I actually heard one guy say he was gonna sell his TC3 and get the ss after I smoked him,truth be known I probably could have beet my car with his!:burp:
 
that neat, cause its totally reversed here. We mostly run NTC3's and "seasoned" drivers with HPI cars usually lose by more than 3 laps at a time. Except for 1 guy, he's usually in the top 3 no matter what he drives.

I have a NTC3 with the OS Hyper CV-X .15. With the claimed .6 hp. Funny thing is I'm the fastest guy out here. She comes out of the hole and makes it to the big end the fastest.

My OS .6hp yielded better results than even my 1.3hp Traxxas 2.5 motor when I tried it out.
