So here's the deal, my RC18t, with a 6-cell 1100 ni-mh stick pack, gets run times around 10-15 minutes. I think my pack is dying because i've had it for about a year and a half and have used it so much, but my friend's mini baja, with a 6-cell 1100 ni-mh flat pack, gets run times which seem to go 20-30 minutes on a charge. My question is what could let his go so long whereas mine never went that long and i just sit around watching bash after mine dies?

I was thinking about getting the Mamba 6400kv set up, too. I'm tired of his Trinity modified motor out running me, would that kill the battery even faster than the regular brushed motor and stock esc?

I was thinking about it. I just don't wanna lose control of the thing.

Actually, you will get longer runtimes with a brushless motor. Brushless motors are more efficient than brushed so the same battery will provide longer runtime. If I were you I would run the same setup your buddy is though. I think you would have more fun if your cars are comparable than if you are waay faster than he. He'll end up feeling you like are now.. tired of getting whooped. Maybe you can talk him into upgrading to brushless with you?

Gearing will also effect your run times. Go with a low Kv brushless system to have control and longer run times. Add more speed later with a higher voltage pack.

WE have the same setup, he just has a more modified trinity motor whereas i have a 5 dollar epic motor i bought from somone on here that i know nothing about. If i'm going to buy a new motor it will be brushless.

I know, the thread isn't really about this, but its about batteries, and I didn't want to go make a whole new thread.

Will this charger be a good place to start for a 2s lipo from the same comany? I really would like to make sure i get the right stuff for lipo and do it right.
