So, I have this TRX 2.5 that ran in my T-maxx, I was bashin' around in the yard, the mail came and I got my 2.5R head for it. I changed the head using a new head shim that was the same thickness as stock. Ran it for about a tank of fuel and now there is NO compression. Took the engine apart, the pistion slides in one end of the sleeve and out the other with LITTLE resistance. I don't know what I did But I don't want to do it again. Any Tips?
I run-
20% traxxas top fuel
Traxxas Long-medium Superduty Glow plugs

When you replaced the head did it come with a new piston and if so did you break it all in again?

Perhaps its just a coincidence that your motor wore out after replacing the head. Or, maybe you overheated ur engine or something? (I doubt it)

You might have gotten some dirt particles in the engine when you took the head off. Those will destroy a nitro engine in seconds.
