I've seen it in action at the track, but it was completly stock. and i thought it was was a sweet rig. jumped like a rock though... high and hard.. you asked if it was worth it.. I've said it before.. every rc has its place, if your gonna beat the snot out of it and run her hard, then put her away wet, then there is probly a more durable rig for you. know matter what you get, count on it breaking. as far as replacing parts with aluminum. was never a big fan.. think it looks great, but it can be hard on your wallet. and when the aluminum doesn't break, something else will. good luck with your decision..

I would suggest a Savage or T-Maxx. Anything but a Warhead. Take it from someone who has owned one. Yes they look good....they handle very good....they break like glass. The engine in it stock.....one word...SUCKS. So I would save Savage for tough....T-Maxx for middle of the road...Revo for racing.

good call feakinjoey.. since uve had one and all.. i hat to deter any anyone from buying any rc, but there is way better then that. for an extra $60 you can get hooked up with a savage 4.6..

They Warhead was my first 1/8 scale and I had nothing but problems....three stock engines. Two Transmissions (reverse weak)...a couple shock towers (brittle).....um...I know I am forgetting something. No choice of changing up gearing. Engine mount was weak as well....oh yeah broke one of those too.... My Savages rarely break and if they do.....way my fault. My T-maxx was pretty good too. I would just hate too see some one buy it and be disappointed with it due to reliability issues. I have been in RC for quite a few years and I will rarely say "don't buy one of those" but on the Warhead I would have to. I just wish the parts were stronger because it did drive great....as far as handling goes it would out maneuver my Maxx or Savage....just got tired of replacing parts EVERY time I ran. I was left lossing a ton on the thing went with another brand and never looked back.
