General RC Information
This truck is a 13 year build in progress. As it sits it's a pretty average for a 4s Slash build. Castle Monster X / 1512 2650kv combo, a Reefs 500 Raw servo, MIP driveshafts, and a 17mm hex conversion. What makes this Slash special is its suspension. I run short/front shock towers on both ends and XXL GTR shocks front and rear. The lower mounting is the outer most hole. This does a lot of things all at once. It increases droop but not the travel from neutral on up. This dramatically improves the truck's tracking ability. It increases cornering stability. It also increases the truck's weight carrying ability. With a big motor and a 4s brick I'm only running medium springs.
The setup
Diffs: 50/200/30. The front and rear are only 2 spider gear diffs, the affect is a lot less than you would think.
Shocks: 60wt fluid, medium/black springs F/R
The build
Traxxas LCG chassis
Hoss center diff, stock F/R
Tekno center driveshaft, MIP F/R Etreme Duty compatible
Traxxas 17mm hex conversion, Maxx end screws
Stampede bumpers F/R
Chopped Unbreakable VW body
Castle Monster X ESC, 1512 2650 motor
Reefs 500 Raw servo
Integy bellcrank
Proline Badlands 2.8 wheels, the tires are vented
This is the toughest truck I have ever owned and a really fun drive. Currently it's my number 2 truck right behind my Tekno.
