Chump Change

The ClodBuster I would of built when I was a kid if I had unlimited funds. 🤣

General RC Information

I started collecting parts for this build around 6 years ago. It took about 4 years to find everything, as every single part on this truck is vintage. I started with a long wheelbase sassy chassis which I had anodized. Then I finally talked a good friend from Cali out of the Jps gearboxes, axle tubes, knuckles, wheels and ladder bars. Which took me what seemed like for ever to polish. I also had the 12 vintage trinity shock bodies anodized and I polished the top and bottom of those assemblies along with the stand offs. At that point the chassis was close to being a roller. I added some ccp ladder bar braces and I built a matched set off aluminum endbell trinity nuclear assault motors which I also had the endbells anodized to match the chassis and shocks. They got hooked up to a vintage Novack super rooster. Then I had the apm custom hobbies pulling hitch anodized in the same colors and polished those remaining parts. Polished up the vintage jps vette styled wheels and added a super cool set ov duratrax diamond zig zag spike tires and anodized jps wheel nuts. A polished jps lower front bumper holds the super cool cirrus clear servo and that completed the rolling chassis. The body was built by Dave Stelfox especially for this truck. I had it custom painted white with house of kolor ice pearl and had some tasteful pinstripes added and the trucks name painted on the tailgate along with all the trim and lights by Quick draw designs. I then proceeded to throw ever super rare old-school part i had on the body. Apm organ stacks, front and rear diamond plate bumpers, bug shield, windshield visor, fire extinguisher and bedliner. The super rare esp hobbies roll bar got topped off with ram rc lights and also added some on the roof aswell. Ccp battery cups and radio tray where also added. The gearboxes are also stuffed with steel pulling gears from jps. Also polished up a set of apm hobbies side steps. This truck was an experiment in excess. Hence its name. It was featured on the cover of RC CAR ACTION with a six page spread June 2024.
A true dream come true for me.
