Its great, I had heard about this place before but didn't finally go try it until a few weeks ago. Its a little over a 30 minute drive, I've gone 4 weeks in a row now.

Very happy with the way this thing crawls, don't think I'm going to make any big changes now. I'll try the higher overdrive gear at some point, other than that just minor tweaks here and there. Right now this thing is very capable, here's a video crawling on the rocks by a waterfall last weekend:

    Element Ecto build

Ready for action this weekend! Did some light weathering with acrylics today and at the last minute decided to use half the stock roll cage attached to the back of the cab. Looking forward to seeing it in action!

Decided to go a different route, spare tire is 4 ounces so left it off, wanted to keep the weight lower. Put some aluminum traction boards and made a tow rack with chains/hooks. Really like the look, want to add a touch of weathering to the chains and flatbed/chassis with my Vallejo acrylics.

Decided to start over and cut a thicker kydex flatbed. Ordered some scale accessories, a chain with towing hooks and aluminum traction boards. Have the spare tire just sitting for now, will decide how I want to mount it when I put the accessories in place.Supposed to be here tomorrow, want this...

Got the body mount figured out, made a little kydex bridge between the front shock mounts with magnetic mounts. Wanted a little more holding it in place so I put a little velcro on the gearbox cover and on the inside back of the cab, fits just right.😎

Took it out with the stock body for the best crawling day I've had so far. Beautiful county park about a 45 minute drive away, spent 2 hours crawling with my Ecto and TRX4.

New cab is painted! Used Tamiya rattle cans, translucent green backed by gun metal, gives a nice dark metallic green color. Hopefully I'll get the bed done this weekend.😎

Took the Ecto out yesterday, new servo is awesome, made a HUGE difference! Really like the shock setup too. Went ahead and ordered a JConcepts Creep half cab, will paint that this week. Also plan to do either a wooden flat bed or kydex flat bed with a spare tire rack.

I think the front body mounts are sufficient to keep a cab only body in place from what I've read. I'm still trying to make up my mind which direction to go with the body, either buying a cab only body to paint or cutting the stock body. The new servo is the same one I've been running on my...

Installed rear Rock Pirate shock mounts and 70mm aluminum standoffs between the chassis rails. Also installed a Hobbystar 4521wp servo for a big steering torque boost. Probably my next step will be siping the stock tires. Had a lot of fun with it last weekend, looking forward to getting it...

    Element Ecto build

Got the Rock Pirate front shock mounts installed. Really like these a lot. The hole for the pan hard mount wasn't punched out all the way, but was able to knock out the remaining piece with a few hard taps, not a big deal. Cracked one of the plastic pillow balls so I just swapped both sides...

    Element Ecto build

Got a new Ecto rtr about a month ago. Very impressed by the out of box capability. Biggest thing I didn't like out of box was the violent reverse speed! Holy crap I backwards hopped so much while trying to be easy on the trigger, lol. Took care of that and added some low weight. Here are the...
