Maybe I'll look at a new esc. Somehow I'm pretty sure that's where the problem lies. If I pick one up, is it a big deal to connect it to my redcat radio? Am i better getting some better brand esc, or esc radio combo? Are there any compatibility issues?

Battery is T and esc to motor is banana

I cleaned them all up but no change. I'm noticing it has a problem accelerating from a stop uphill. It just beeps unless I give it a push, then it goes like crazy as long as it's going. If I hold the throttle while it's stopped and trying to go, the same cutoff thing happens and I have to reset...

They are banana style connectors, but they do appear poorly soldered. Should I replace them? They do seem a little loose and won't stay together except that I taped them together. So a bad connection could cause the motor to just cut out?
