Working on the front end, I noticed a bit of side to side slop on the axle. The aluminum hex adapter fits over the axle pin and bottoms out. I took a shim
from the outside of the axle and moved it to the inside/behind the bearings.

After snapping a ball stud in the u-brace, I've decided it was time to put the HD ball studs to use. The Associated 6277 4-40 ball studs are getting harder to find, and SC10/T4 front shock tower doesn't allow for larger ball studs, I thought I'd save my spares for the front.
