The switch isn't internal on the Max 10 SCT. And for your other question, yes you can swap out a brushed motor for another brushed motor

Well, if you've got the money for what you want, I would go with that. I've never owned a castle product so I can't direct you against it. I just pick HobbyWing cause they're cheaper

I would get a HobbyWing WP-10BL60, those are my go-to replacements for just 3S bashers. If you have a little extra chips, I would buy the HobbyWing Max10 SCT 120a ESC cause you can run 4s on it

Try putting the 24t pinion back on. You might be overworking the motor. If not gear up a bit until the motor gets to the right running temp margin

I've had a cheapo ESC catch fire on me once. The truck survived though

Okay, so the full setup is 3000kv motor 2s 21/64 130mm tires 6a 50c 2s 30mins running around sliding, jumping a bit, speed bursts. Or until the truck breaks or something falls off.

It doesn't have a fan, and I don't have a temp gun. It get's just under too hot to hold my hand on though, which is what most people say is too hot for the motor.

It's running a 3000kv brushless motor, the tire OD is 130mm, running on a 6000mah 2s and I usually run the pack till something breaks or the motor gets a bit too warm. The motor runs pretty hot within the first 30mins of run time in grass and bumpy terrain. It was good on 17t and I was just...

So I'm running 21/64 gearing on my HSP/Redcat 1/10 MT and I was wondering how much it would help going down to a 20t

I've got a few questions about gearing down to lower the motor running temps
