Is anyone interested in the planes of WWII? If so which one/s?

Not much of a fanatic, but I have always thought the P51-D was the most beautiful airplane ever built.

I am partial to the F-4U Corsair, but also like the P-51D Mustang. Both were awesome aircraft...and those still flying are a site to see.

Thats a nice shot of the P-51, i started liking the planes after playing Aces High, www.hitechcreations.com

My favs have to be the Corsair, P-38 and the Spitfire.

I was lucky enough to see quite an interesting sight at an airshow in Syracuse last year. A P-51 flying with an F-14 (I think). It was cool to see a sweet Mustang just for starters. But to see it flying next to a jet as big as the 14 was amazing. And to see that 14 have to throttle way back to keep the Mustang in tow was cool!!!

I always liked the goth 229 and the folk wolf.

The Spitfire is probably my favorite. It was a great fighter, and is absolutely beautiful in the air.
