Will this charger charge Nimh?

I recently bought an old used Tekin BC112 C charger and was wondering if it will charge Nimh. The software is 27h. I know 28h and newer will but can't find any info about the 27h software.

The manual mentions Ni-Cad but not NiMh so I will assume not.

Try to find the date of manufacture and go from there.
Have you sent the company an e-mail asking?

I read the manual and in several places it does mention Nimh and what settings to use but I read in the Tekin forums that the manual refers to h28(2000 model) and after but it also says they aren't sure about h27 software equiped chargers. I shot the an email and am awaiting a response.

You can use your model to charge Nimh because I have been using mine without a problem for hundreds of charges without a problem.

When it comes to charging batteries its best to know exactly what up with the charger and the batteries you are using.

I did it so its fine for you just doesn't cut it. You would feel real bad if he burned his house down or got battery acid burns from your knot knowing.

There have been several instances her on this forum where battery charging has caused major issues. Its always best to be absolutely sure that you have the proper combination. Even then, you need to keep an eye on them until the combination has proved itself.

Unless it specifically says nimh, don't use it. Nimh batteries have a different peak response, and nicad chargers will severely overcharge them.
