I was also caught up in the HH "computer update" problem. Ordered the green one, listed "in stock", and received order confirmation email...and, 5 days later, nothing had shipped. Website still listed it as "in stock"...but, in checking my order, there is was listed as "backordered". So, I called. Ended up speaking with 2 different people (first call dropped/disconnected), and was told 2 different reasons (each 'reason' had no connection to the other).
HH used to have outstanding customer service...but, it seems, the more companies they buy, and the bigger they get, the worse they're CS gets...and, like many others could agree, I'm getting fed up with it. As such, I told them to cancel the order, and issue a refund (the amount, as listed by my bank, was still "pending"). I decided, I would wait until the funds were back in my account, then call the local shop (un-Friendly Hobbies), and see if they had any - if they did, I was "meant" to have a Vendetta...and, if they didn't, then I wasn't "meant" to have one.
When I called, they had 1 left...and, it was a green one. Now I have one...and, (sometime) soon, the upgrades with begin, turning it into a true speedrun car. Until then, I'll just bash it...albeit, only moderately.
