Hello,

I am new to this site and new to Nitro Cars.

Myself and a friend are going to be selling our old faithful Tamiya electric cars and taking the next step of faith into the world of Nitro off-roaders.

We have decided only one this so far........we want a stadium truck.

We want to be able to race on dirt/gravel, grass and chalk steep hills etc.

We are currently looking at the Schumacher Menace.

However, as I said we are undecided. Do we go for 2wd or 4wd? Do we go for the Menace or something else like the HPI MT2 or a traxxas nitro sport etc?

Please give opinions and advice.

Thanks.

Best Bang for the buck in my opinion is the Losi XXX-NT RTR. The price is right and it has plenty of bashing power. The only thing I would replace is the diff with a better one. Other then that it has everything, including a nice radio.

Myself, and my Dad both just bought HPI MT 2's. They have been great trucks so far. The 4x4 is definatley a plus if you are going to be doing a lot of running in the grass.

I just bought a XTM X-cellerator for $260 RTR i have to say I'm pretty impressed.. not much if anythign to change out of the box.. it does however have the .18 some track wont let you run the class withuot a .12 or below i think..

all ball bearings adjustable oil filled shocks CVD's 2 needle carb. easy to start and tune.. decent documentation decent tires.

metal turnbuckles camber eadjustments front and back..decent ball diff, nice slipper spur gear..

all 2.2 tires fit, and losi rims ;)

Power wise I can lift the front in gravel at abut 1/2 throttle (25mph??).. some users at the board say the officers clocked em at 54 lol

really fast handles well..servos work nice and strong..Oh nice RX box sealed went in snow no water in box. battery bit is sealed but not water tight..RX is is nice and water proof tho.

I'm a nitro new guy/veteran electric.. it took my beating and my boys (9&12) and I learned with it fairly easy.

I don't race st's but this one.. from a new guy hands on Point of view.. i plan on buying another in a month to have two to bash with.

I don't know what your looking for but it's affordable for sure, and definetaly enough power to bash with.

My friend just picked up an RC10GT RTR from eBay. It was 152$ plus shipping! Awesome deal... runs great. It's the newer incarnation with improved gearbox and front chassis brace. The thing is balls to the wall fast. Almost too much power.

Killer waqsit new in box? If so I might be looken towards ebay lol for my next one

I'm sorry... should have said that. No it was not brand new. Appears like it's only been run a little though. No scrapes on the bottom of the chassis. Sometimes people have good luck on eBay... he definitely got lucky with this one cause I want it now :)
