I am wanting to upgrade my HPI T-15 (Rush Evo) engine to something with a bit more power... what do you guys think of the HPI 18ss compared to the OS .18 CV-RX? Or are there any better engines?

Don't know anything about either one, but if it were me I would go O.S.:2cents:

This is a question that I am also very interested in. If you look at and believe the specs then the HPI looks better. HPI claims 40,000 MAX RPM and 1.5 HP (not sure what RPM that HP is rated at).

The OS is rated at a practical RPM of 3000-32,000 and power is 1.35 PS@28,000 RPM. One horsepower is equal to 1.0139 PS. The OS 1.35 PS rating is equal to about 1.33 HP.

Alot of people say O.S. under rates there hp ratings.

I have had great luck with HPI engines. I say .18 SS. (I have has experiences with .12 R SS, S-25, and the 15fe. All very reliable mills)
