I currently have the T-Maxx 2.5 and instead up buying tons of upgrades I was thinking on selling it and either buying a T-Maxx 3.3 or the Revo....which me would be the better buy?

I personally prefer the Revo because it has the best suspension and handling of the two.

How is the reverse in the Revo? It's it like the reverse in my tmaxx 2.5 and jumpy and annoying to get in and out is it?

The reverse has always been iffy on the Revos IMO. The current model (5908) does come with reverse and the Opti-Drive system is supposed to not allow shifting between forward and reverse until the truck is completely stopped but it doesn't always work.

knock on wood....i have had pretty good luck with the reverse on my revo..it hasnt given me any problems at all...

I've never driven a t maxx but i love my revo. go with the revo it wont disapoint !!

I would go Revo out of those two, but..... Unless you're dead set on Traxxas, take a look at Losi's LST XXL. It's a bigger and (from what I've been reading) better truck over both the Revo and T-Maxx. It is less than $100 more and you get a better TRX with telemetry. I've been wanting a Revo for about 9 years and never got one, I saw a LST XXL the other day and the pure size and room on the chassis made me decide to get it instead of the Revo. But the Revo IS a sexy truck.

i have a revo and its awesome. everything is adjustable.

my reverse was working when i pulled it out but one of the pins in the gear snapped so i replaced the pin for the time being and yeh, just put the FOC in. havent looked back and maybe in the last dozen times iv run the truck reverse would of been nice to have twice maybe. only cuz i drove it into a tricky spot...

i put a locker in and liked it but not worth replacing drive shafts etc. so i put 100k diff oil back in the LSD and its good now. wanted to get 500k and still might but the shop i got my last order from had none.

first thing i suggest doing when u get one is remove the front left steering servo and put it in place of the throttle as its stronger and faster = better and if one fails for some reason you will have a backup to get you through the day at least. i personally have a steering servo ready to go in case either one fails. there cheap so i figured y not :) also with only one steering servo which will do the same job as 2 it also stops them fighting and will increase battery life a bit.

spring mount exhaust is another thing i think they should of come factory with. they are more durable and dont SNAP instead they just pop out so u just have to pop it back on. easy for me cuz my truck loves being on the back wheels :P 40T spur gear is also handy :)

pull start is also a decent upgrade over the ez start. it starts much better with the glow igniter and pullstart

thats all i can think of for now.

While I can't answer which truck is better because I have never had a T-Maxx, I love my Revo. It's an older 2.5R, that I picked up used for cheap, and I absolutely love it. I beat it pretty good, and haven't had any major issues with it. If you get one, be prepared to get RPM A-arms for it. Mine already had them in the front, but it wasn't long before my daughter broke one of the rear arms.

i hope people dont tired if me saying this. the hobby shop is as or more impotent than the truck.

+1 Moe. Supporting the local hobby shop is important. That is a place to get parts and help with your vehicles as well as a fun place to socialize with others in the hobby.

try redcat racing. personally i love this brand i think they are better than traxxas. they come stock with cvds, and a BIG BLOCK normally a .28 they fly and and are (as i think) stronger than traxxas. I've broken so much on my slash tmaxx rustler emaxx and jato but havent been able to break my red cat cars. look at this link
http://www.redcatracing.com/RC-Cars/1-8-Scale-Nitro-Professional-Series
I've seen them all and the quality and eginering is very good. remeber this is where traxxas was not that long ago.

I wouldn't go with Redcat or Exceed. To many complaints about cheap plastics and little hobby shop support. If you break something you're stuck waiting for parts to come through the mail because you will most likely have to order them online. I would stick with a good name brand like Traxxas, HPI, LOSI, Team Associated. Most hobby shops stock parts for these brands. If you're dead set on Traxxas then definately get the REVO the T-MAXX design is pretty dated. I personaly have owend both trucks and the REVO is by far the better truck. However since I have gotten my hands on a Savage I will say without a doubt it is a far better basher than either the T-MAXX or the REVO. Savages are extremely tough and don't seem to break as often as the other 2.

id get both. lol the reverse on the revo is iffy at best the servo is a weak link mine striped out after the frist week. but the gear kit to fix it is only like 8 bucks.
