you have the classic t-maxx, that would of had the 2.5 on it origionaly.. I can't find the model number but if you go to traxxas.com and go under products, and then nitro, and click on the classic 2.5 t-maxx and then click on the download link and print off the diagrams and parts list and if you have enough inkk the manual... These will come in handy!!!!!

good upgrades RPM parts are awsome!!!

4910..

Engine is probably an HPI .15.

I couldnt get traxxas's page up this a.m. so I didnt want to guess.. so thanks for the missing info 2revo1maxx....

Nope not a 2.5 4910, that is an older 1st gen Pro .15 maxx narrow wheel base truck.
You can tell by the A~arms & the open center single shock mount shock towers.

Exactly! Not a 2.5 maxx, the traits Nitro4910 pointed out were first gen traits from the pro 15 narrow model.

Yep thats the OLDIE, cheaper to upgrade to a newer truck. Looks like its in nice, shape, I just hope you didnt spend much.

i am going to have to wake up alittle bit before trying to think about stuff because I am surprised I didnt notice that....

now issues with starting and 2nd gear

Thank you all for all the details. I just cleaned it up and painted the wheels to make it look decent. Attached are new pics and also pics of th engine when i took it off.

The car cost me $125 hope that was a decent price.

Since the car is old would that be a reason why its a pain to start. I fell like it take me more time to get it started then the actual drive time. Also i think i just blew the transmission since it wont jump into 2nd gear and shuts of.

Nice lookin truck . Wat temp is it outside wen your trying to start it ? Do you have a good tune maybe your idle is too high or low or it maybe flooding . And the tranny issue will be down to the tune if it isn't going into second or you might need to adjust the shift point in the tranny .

it was pretty hot. i was turtingin the dial in all positions and kept on pulling and pulling. sometimes it runs but then dies out. then i can start it right away but most of the time i loose it and have you keep trying for another few minutes. to be hones i got more of workout then actual drive time.
