Isn't it funny how many people Traxxas either brought in or brought back into the hobby from the T-Maxx, pretty powerful thing that T-maxx was, and now I strongly detest them go figure.

Don't forget about the old-skool Tamiya kits. The Grashopper ruled back in the day. I remember my uncle had one of those too.

I do have to credit the T-Maxx for getting me back into the hobby after about a 3 year hiatus. Damn internet and all those videos!!

Well, I've always liked cars and one day at school I picked up an R/C car magazine. I saw the Micro RS4 with the BMW M3 body, and with the M3 being my favorite car at the time, I knew I had to get one. I'm one of those people that waits a long time to buy their expensive things, because I have to ponder it for hours. I saw the 1/10 nitro's in the hobby shop and figured I could never afford one myself. However, I got onto Ebay and found my Nitro RS4 Racer, buy it now, for $180. I bought that and was hooked, although it was kinda a disaster. I got a Yokomo GT-4 RTR for my birthday, and I've been in ever since.

well, i was about 12 now 16. i was hooked on flying rc planes and i was at a tutor session and i saw a couple guys play with a couple of nitro rc trucks (can't rember what they were) after two hours of flying a plane, i was like this is not for me and i decided to try out a traxxas buggy as my frist nitro car and now i have a savage and now i love it!! :fro:

One of my technician buddy's at the car dealership I used to work at brought it in one day. Thought is was the coolest thing in the world. Kept sayin I was gonna get one but never did. Couple years later (last summer) I moved an hour away to the other side of town. Whataya know... my new neighbor has one too. OMG, now I HAD to get one. Well to make this short and sweet, my fiance bought me a new T-maxx for X-mas. It got ran over by a car in March. now I'm in the midst of creating a custom Street/light off road Maxx. (I'm not into jumping really... just a lot of speed. Although that house jump vid is totally wicked.)

RS43Drifter pretty much sumed up my story. He saw the cars at a monster truck area. Years past and I get my montly import tuning mag, and they had a huge thing about RC cars and me and tyler sat up late loking at HPI. Tyler went and bought one about a year later, his onroad to be exact. His dad got the axis,I got a storm and my dad the terminator. Tyler felt left out being the only onroad so he bought a NMT. His dad got obsessed bought a Savagae for Tyler and a tmaxx for himself. Alot of trading went down adn I kept his big large eating mass amounts of my other large dog that eats alot of food, either way now his dad has the xterm and my dad has a tmaxx. Soon aftter that his dad bought a mammoth....go figure, lol.

Well guys had my first Tandy Lamborghini when I was about 6. Got my first Tamiya black foot when I was twelve as all of my neighbors had something. It got stolen a couple of years later and well I lost interest. Last year my buddy took me to hobby town got my first on road and have been re hooked ever since.

I was always into r/c, I remember 2nd grade I had a little ferrari(spel) the remote had 2 buttons, one for forward and one for reverse that would also make it turn.I slowly graduated to the NICCO and TYCO full function wal-mart line, hey the TYCO BANDIT 9.6v nissan truck was pretty fast back in the day I remember owning like 7 of those. Then when I was 13 I saved for what seemed to be for ever for the GOLDEN ARROW RADIO SHACK buggy,at 7.2 volts it was decently fast.I was just begining to tinker with things so I had some 9.6v packs laying around and noticed the plugs was the same as the 7.2v,yep hobby knife and lighter I squeezed it into the golden arrow, this thing was fast, but it broke alota drivetrain stuff and eventually the chassie so I threw it in the closet started geting into 1.1 cars and girls. After highschool a friend had a touring car it was nitro? One smell was all it took,a week later I owned that very car!So many years and thousands of $ later here I am.I'm in a very small redneck town, when I break out the nitros farmers ask howd you get that weedeater motor on that lil toy.Its funny:hehe:

TAMIYA BABY

I have to say that I was actually pulled into RC about 17 years ago when I went to an old Price Club ( Now Costco ) and saw a MRC Tamiya Boomerang. I cried and cried and then one day my parents bought it for me. i Put that whole kit together and raced my cousins Blackfoot. We did that for about a 6 months till he got out of it. I stayed with it till I got a RC10 Championship edition. That was SHiot!!! I dropped in a hot motor and ran an old Tekin Speed control and I was good till I saw Losi XXT CR. I moved to that and then sold. WHat got me into Nitro was a RTR3. My inlaws were into it and damn it to hell if I was going to pass a hobby that I could have a few family members to bash with. So we had my RTR 3 and two NTC3's I got sick of the rtr3 and got a NTC3 and played with it till I got a Tmaxx 2.5. The wife wanted that one and I moved to a Monster Gt. Love that truck!! THen DAMN ALL OF YOU for getting me hooked onto buggies!!. Henceforth I now have a Hyper 7 PCR PRo. Nitro RC... Gotta love em.. Bill to pay for em...Hate em but not enough to leave this great hobby!!

I've always loved r/c but the toystore cars couldn't my abusive nature. They would be done in less than a month-at most. 4 months ago I was walking through a japanese mall when i came to a hobby store. Went inside to look at some models and walked out with a car. Now I have 5 and i'm still not done.

when i was 10 i had a realy spoiled friend that had the original rs4 rtr and maximum st, and after watching him drive them for a while, i was hooked and i got a nitro rustler. well, since i was only 10 or 11 at the time i didn't know anything about it so it broke eventually and i left it alone. recently my friend got an rc10gt (now broken since he's an absolute dumbass), and that resparked my interest. i have since bought a new nitro rustler and am now using my old one for spare parts:cool:

When I was around 13, my older brothers bought me a Radio Shack Golden Arrow buggy. I broke it the first day I had it. If I had it now, I would have fixed it...

Anyway, I was always interested in doing something stupid with any vehicle I played with as a kid and as I got older, I did stupid stuff with motorcycles and 1:1 cars (by the way, a chevette always kicks to the right when airborn).

Now I'm married, and the wife isn't to thrilled about me wanting a motorcycle again. When we get a house, I can have a bike. So, now I have 2 t-maxx's. One that is built for brute force (21 conversion) and one that is built to beat the crap out of.

Well, this year 2002 I had a bad motorcycle accident. I had gone down before, but it was due to my own fault. Usually riding above my means. But, this time I was not my fault. I was hit by 4 wheeler (car). Guess they did'nt see me?? I was only doing like 40-45 mph. While recovering from the accident, I rebuilt the bike to pristine condition. I happen to think it was better than before. Anyway, I kept it for about 6-8 months more, but only rode it like once a month to work and back. The I guess you could say I was kind of scared to ride it anymore. Now I had been riding for like 8 years, and this was my 3rd bike. After discussing it with the wife, we both agreed it would be the best thing to do. Sell it! A month or so later, I was really bored (no hobby) The guys across the way were playing with a bunch of RC's. I told I think I would like to have one. Low and behold, I went to check the mail one day and there was this huge package in the mail. Almost a year later, I have a second RC, and a supermaxx that is almost completed! The rest is history!

it should be in the fall when it cools down a little bit me or waste land will let you all know the exact date

I bought my 1st Rd truck/car when I had bought a plane and was a total rookie at it. Didnt have a CLUE what I was doing. So after I got really sick of repairing a plane I constantly was sticking money into after all my crashes I figured Id by a Nitro truck (Tmaxx) to drive in between plane repairs and days to windy to fly. So now I am a Avid Flyer AND basher. Now thinking of hitting the waves also.

I'm a beginer in r/c, but i satrted with a piece of crap radio shack car for 100$ a while ago but i started to play with about 1 year ago. i got my first rustler and the a nirto stampede then i went back to electric with a e-maxx

I've always like the little tyco electrics. but what got my into nitro was two things kind of. about 2 years ago, i was 11, and my buddy across the street had the magazine on nitro powered cars. i though i was gonna save up my money to buy a car but that same buddy got my hooked into tunrtables and i got those instead. but like 7-8 months ago, my cousin got a hpi rs4 mt and then i wasnted to get one so i got on ebay and found a nice used savage .21. thats what got me started.
